This has to be seen to be believed. Really. It’s quite possibly the most insanely ludicrous yet hilariously funny thing we’ve seen for a long time.

Artist Bart Jansen’s beloved pet cat met an untimely end after a car accident, and unable to part ways from his feline friend, he decided to turn it into a flying helicopter.

Yes, you read that right.

The cat, named Orville Wright after the famous aviator is now the ‘Orvillecopter’, and is on display at the Kunstrai art festival in Amsterdam.

Speaking about Orville, Jansen said:

“He is half cat, half machine. After a period of mourning he received his propellers posthumously.nHe will receive more powerful engines and larger props for his birthday. So this hopping will soon change into steady flight.”

The catcopter was built with his friend, fellow radio control enthusiast Arjen Beltman. Watch the amazing video below:
