Its finally got its first airplay, and now the whole world knows what ‘Wings’ sounds like.
At the moment we’re 50/50 on whether we like it or not (but we’re a bit fussy sometimes), though we certainly think it’s a sure-fire hit, and should go straight to the top of the charts when it gets its full release in August.
Interestingly, Little Mix are up against fellow X Factor 2011 act Amelia Lily, who will be releasing her debut single ‘You Bring Me Joy’ at the same time.
Lily, signed to songwriting team Xenomania – famous for hits by the Sugababes, Girls Aloud, The Saturdays, Cher & Kylie Minogue, amongst others – will be releasing her full debut album in November.

Talking about the track with Digital Spy recently, they were asked whether it’s a good representation of their album, and Jesy answered:
“Definitely, I think so. We love it and we’re really proud of it.”
Leigh-Anne added: “There’s a mix of everything really. There’s all different styles.”
Jade commented: “There’s old-school and lots of group harmonies with modern beats. It’s pretty exciting.”
They also quoted their influences as being Beyonce and Michael Jackson in particular.
Little Mix performed the track live for the first time to a huge crowd at T4 On The Beach this weekend.
