They’re the first group to ever win the UK X Factor, and they hit the number one slot with their cover of Damien Rice’s ‘Cannonball’ last Christmas.

Now the title of their very first own single has been released – ‘Wings’.

We’re excitedly looking forward to hearing the song for the first time, but can’t really look too much into the name for what it might sound like – (or else we’d be a bit spookily clever).

Originally pencilled in for a May release, the song has been put back a little, possibly to ramp up anticipation, or probably more so to let Perrie Edwards gain some more publicity as Zayn Malik’s girlfriend :)

Directioners, calm down…

Simon Cowell recently tweeted about hearing Little Mix’s single for the first time, saying: “I have just played the new @LittleMixOffic first single, it’s brilliant! These girls are really really good!”

Come on girls, get it released quick-sharp!

Little mix consist of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall.

They’ve been pitched as the ‘female One Direction’ though we’re yet to see if they can live up to those lofty expectations.
